Partners Comes to Tri-Village

The
second graders at Tri-Village are involved in a new program
that began in January, and will continue monthly until the end
of the year. Each month the children travel to the Brethren
Retirement Community to read to the residents. Patriot Partners
was the title given to the program by the children. They work
in class to prepare books to be read on each visit. This gives
them an opportunity to work on vocabulary building as well as
their read aloud skills. The children and residents look forward
to their time together sharing books and memories. It is an
exciting day and a great time is had by all. Patriot Partners
is funded by a Learn and Serve Grant.
