Spotters Get Informed at Southern Hills CTC

Southern
Hills CTC hosted a Weather Spotters seminar on April 19. Andria
Preston, an instructor who teaches Intervention Science, Meteorology,
and Personal Finance this year, teamed with the Wilmington Weather
Bureau and the Brown County Emergency Management Agency to offer
this information to the public. Over 20 students and community
members took advantage of this informative session. Refreshments
for the evening were made possible by the Learn and Serve America
grant to integrate service learning, character education and
career development.
