Georgetown Students Attend Chemistry Night at Wilmington College

Perianne Germann , Georgetown

Eight Georgetown Jr.-Sr. High School students attended Wilmington College’s Chemistry Night on Thursday, October 22. The Science Society, chemistry students of Wilmington College, conducted demonstrations for the high school students, and then they divided the high school students into teams for the lab competition. Special recognition was given to Aundria Farrell, with the CO2 & Soap Bubbles lab for first place, Ian Cowdrey with the Liquid Nitrogen lab for second place and Brooke Cornette finishing with the third place lab with Genie in a Bottle. All G-men who attended will receive one of the Wilmington College “Science Society” T-shirts. The G-men’s attendance was hosted by the “Achievers,” part of the school’s Learn and Serve Ohio program.
