Seventh Graders Study and Tour Recycle Station

Germann , Georgetown |
Seventh
graders from Georgetown Jr.-Sr. High School toured the Adam
Brown Recycling Station as the culminating event to successfully
complete their classroom studies. The field trip resulted
from the collaboration between the math and science enrichment
classes. Mrs. Knuckle’s math class focused on weights
and measures, and the science portion was recycling and the
environment. As part of their curriculum, the Achievers of
the Learn and Serve Ohio program escorted the seventh graders
on the field trip and assisted with the instructional materials.
The students and teachers want to thank Mr. Sam Perin, Educational
Specialist, for his excellent tour of the recycling and refactory
facilities. His presentation reinforced the classroom work
of the students. The Achievers treated the seventh graders
to pizza at the end of their visit. Achievers accompanying
the group were Brook Cornette, Aundria Farrell, Ashley Haughn
and Tony Neville.
The seventh graders have created a recycling display from
their field trip, and invite the community to visit the school
and observe their work.
