Jr.-Sr. High School Seventh Graders at Work Recycling

Germann , Georgetown |
Seventh
graders accomplished the distribution of the new recycle containers
throughout the high school, as they complete their weekly recycling,
normally once a week during study lab. The new plastic containers
replaced the old cardboard ones and are much easier to keep
clean. The plastic containers are for aluminum cans and plastic
recyclables and were provided through the Adams Brown Recycling
Station.
Mrs. Susan Noll is pictured with the seventh grade volunteers,
receiving the new container for her Spanish classroom. In the
photo, from left to right, are Madeline Braunstein, Kylie Watson,
Allison Smith, Shayne Jones and Kaylen McClaren.
The
“Achievers,” part of the Learn and Serve Ohio
program, have “host responsibility” for the seventh
grade efforts and work with them to reinforce the importance
of recycling with the younger students. As volunteers, the
Achievers prove that “actions speak louder than words.”
